In this discussion, you will present the areas of research you are thinking you might pursue for your dissertation as you become a scholar-practitioner. In this course and at your first Doctoral Symposium, you will articulate and begin to refine your research topic area. Please understand that this is an iterative process and that as you learn more about your topic, as well as the scholarly literature related to it, you will continue to revise and narrow your research topic.
For this assignment, complete the following:
State the general area of your research interest, and justify how it fits your degree field or concentration.
Propose a list of 5–6 topics within this area of interest that potentially could be developed into your dissertation topic.
From this list of 5–6 topics, select 1 topic, and defend why you think this topic should be researched.
Note that the topic you select should be presented succinctly and supported with literature from peer-reviewed and scholarly sources. This represents the basis for why the topic is worth researching. You will use what you wrote and critically assess it as a research topic in Unit 4 to help you create a draft of your research problem.
