Assignment Topic: Creating your Storyboard/Script Outline
The next step toward your final presentation is to sketch out the various details of both your visual and speech presentation. The purpose of this assignment is to help you prepare and practice your work, as well as give you a big-picture look at your presentation from beginning to end. The below table and linked file provide you with a template for what you might include in your storyboard/script; however, you can find other templates online if you prefer. You can also write a document with appropriate headers or sketch it on paper and upload the image. How you create and submit the content is up to you.
Assignment Requirements:
You should submit a minimum of 10 storyboard slides. Include the basics:
an introductory slide with your presentation title and your name
an overview slide that includes a) your thesis or key takeaway and b) the main subsections of your presentation,
at least six more content slides that support the main idea
a summary slide restating your main ideas
a references slide
In your presentation, each visual also needs to be cited on the slide and in the reference list. When you are done writing your ideas down, then review your storyboard in totality. Does it flow the way you intended? Have you proved your argument? You may also want to have a peer review it for you. A presentation is much like writing a paper; to do it well you will likely need multiple revisions. The good news is that if you follow this process, you should be better prepared to complete the work. Template Example:
